CUPE 1156 represents over 500 healthcare workers at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, part of the University Health Network. We are frontline workers who provide all aspects of care and services to ensure our patients’ needs are being met.

Each one of our members has an important and necessary role as part of the health care team, from staff providing direct care to patients, to those preparing nutritious food and ensuring a clean, well-maintained facility. Our union includes registered practical nurses, personal support workers, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapy assistants, environmental services workers, electricians, mechanics, plumbers, dietary aides, and others.
